Members Exhibition
Members have filled the H.D. Smith gallery on the first floor of the Hoogland Center for the Arts. Carolyn Owen Sommer is the featured artist in the Boardroom located on the third floor.
2024 SWS Annual Exhibition
The 2024 SWS Annual Exhibition was on display throughout the month of October at the Springfield Art Association. Judging was performed by visiting workshop artist, Kathleen Conover. Kate Worman Becker received first place for “Whorled”, Aneita Atwood Gates was awarded second place for “The “Story Teller” and Cookie Ferratier took third place with “A Purple Perspective”. Honorable mentions were awarded to Jan Sorenson Hill, Patty Bryant, Priscilla Kluge, Donald Landry, Debbie Megginson, Carolyn Owen Sommer, Linda Post-Lucas, and George Weers.
Sangamon Watercolor Society was well represented at this years 40TH Illinois Watercolor Society National Exhibition
Paintings by Cookie Ferratier, Patty Bryant, Aneita Gates and Carolyn Owen Sommer were accepted into the Illinois Watercolor Society’s 2024 Exhibition, which concluded in May at the The Next Picture Show in Dixon, IL. Aneita Gates received an honorable mention for "The Story Teller".
